Nigerian ace comedian Bright Okpocha, popularly known as Basketmouth, has reportedly started a new chapter in his life, nearly two years after his 12-year marriage to his former wife, Elsie Okpocha, ended.
On September 12, 2024, the comedian took to Instagram and shared a photo of himself with media personality Victoria Eze, which some have described as affectionate.
Captioning his post, the humorist wrote: “About to step into the next chapter of my life. @mizvick.”
Basketmouth, who publicly announced his separation from Elsie in December 2022, appears to be embracing new beginnings.
The comic star’s post immediately received a flood of congratulatory messages from fans and colleagues in the entertainment industry, who believe he may have found love again two years after his divorce.
The Daily News Prime recalls that Basketmouth celebrated his ex-wife Elsie’s 44th birthday in September but did not mark their wedding anniversary, which falls in November.
In a 2021 interview, the Flatmates star revealed that he met Elsie while promoting his debut show at the University of Lagos.
