Lagos State Deputy Governor, Obafemi Hamzat, has called on religious leaders to educate their congregations on the importance of balancing technological advancements with faith in God.

Speaking at the 4th Annual Ramadan Lecture/Iftar and Special Prayer held in memory of Late Oba Mufutau Olatunji Hamzat in Mushin, Lagos, Hamzat emphasised the need for responsible use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in a manner that aligns with religious values.

The event was organised by Moses Oluwatoyin Fayinka, a member of the Federal House of Representatives representing Mushin Constituency II.

Hamzat highlighted the growing influence of AI on society, urging clerics to teach their followers that, despite technological advancements, humans remain under the control of the Almighty, not machines or algorithms.
