Social media personality VeryDarkMan has revealed that music producer Michael Collins Ajereh, often known as Don Jazzy, is the mysterious donor of ₦100 million to his newly founded Non-Governmental Organisation.

VeryDarkMan, who declared that the NGO will focus on community development and upgrading public schools, initially expressed concerns in an Instagram video, questioning the hefty deposit and requested an investigation by Zenith Bank.

“@zenithbankplc, please investigate my NGO account. I don’t know what is going on, hope I’m not being set up… I AM NOT INTO MONEY LAUNDERING, I DO NOT DO FRAUD (FOR THE RECORD). Nigerians, bear me witness, I don’t know what’s up with the account,” he posted.

However, in a fresh video aired on Thursday, VeryDarkMan revealed that Don Jazzy contacted him to inform him that he had made a gift to help the cause.

He said, “Guys, yesterday I posted that I received ₦100m in my account. I did not receive an alert. I just saw that the money had increased from ₦70m to ₦170m plus.

“I panicked because I didn’t expect anybody to just send me ₦100m like that, so I thought it was a glitch or maybe someone wanted to set me up, because people had been sending ₦50, ₦100, ₦200, ₦500 and so on, and it’s understandable for me to panic.”

After contacting everyone he knew to find out who had provided the money, he finally received a reply from Don Jazzy.

In the message from the music executive, they both encouraged each other as Don applauded the online critic for his initiative.

Following the news, Don Jazzy went viral on the X platform, with many netizens praising his kindness and praying for the music producer.

The controversial social media personality founded a non-governmental organisation on Saturday, October 12.

On Saturday, VeryDarkMan announced the NGO’s mission in a post and video on his Instagram profile, @verydarkblackman.

The social media activist called for support and vowed transparency and responsibility.

VeryDarkMan revealed that he had received almost N33 million in donations within 24 hours.

He also uploaded a screenshot of the total donations and thanked everyone who contributed. According to the activist, most people donated N500 or less, proving their willingness to help despite financial limits.

The recent reports online revealed that the donations VDM has received in 6 days have amounted to over N172m.

In recent weeks, the activist had become embroiled in a dispute involving a well-known crossdresser, Idris Okuneye, also known as Bobrisky, over charges of bribery and corruption.
