Nigerian actor Victor Udochukwu Nwaogu, popularly known as Nkubi, has revealed that repeated rejection over his physique pushed him into acting.
The movie star shared his experience while speaking on the stigma faced by little people during a recent episode of the One On One podcast, which he attended with his wife.
Nkubi explained that he only became fully aware of how different he was after completing secondary school, when he began facing rejection while seeking minor jobs.

“As a child, you barely understand your reality, but you know you are different from every regular person.
The reality of being a little person hit me when I finished secondary school and couldn’t secure minor jobs like others,” he said.
He also disclosed that his daughter is already facing similar stigmatisation from online trolls who make hurtful comments about her size.
Nkubi, however, noted that he and his wife were aware of the possibility of having a child with dwarfism and were emotionally prepared for it.
His wife added that despite being prepared for the stigma their child might face, it still hurts to see strangers constantly bully her online.
She further revealed that a doctor once advised her to get pregnant by another man to avoid giving birth to a child with dwarfism, but she firmly rejected the suggestion.
