American rapper and streamer Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr., popularly known as DDG, has shared his thoughts on which of his two careers is more financially rewarding.
Speaking during a recent livestream with Nigerian streamer Carterefe, he claimed that content streaming generates more income than music, describing it as a more lucrative profession for creators.
“Streaming pays more than music. For real, streamers make more money than artist,” he said.

DDG began his streaming journey in 2014, building a strong following on YouTube before transitioning into music.
He officially launched his music career in 2016 and rose to prominence with his hit single ‘Givenchy’, released in 2017 as part of his debut EP, Take Me Serious.
The 28-year-old entertainer later dropped out of Central Michigan University to focus fully on his YouTube and entertainment career, a decision that has since paid off.
