The actor addressed the public in a deeply emotional post shared on his Instagram page, revealing the depth of his grief.
Salami urged people not to attempt to console him when they see him, admitting that he is still struggling to process the loss.
“Please, when you see me, don’t try to console me. Because I will break down. I still can’t say farewell, Shuga Boo. All is not well at the moment,” he wrote.
Describing the pain of losing Ademola, whom he fondly called Shuga Boo, the actor disclosed that days of mourning had done little to ease his sorrow.
“Seventy-two hours of endless tears still can’t bring back my Shuga Boo,” he said.
Despite his grief, Salami said he is making a conscious effort to remain strong for the sake of his family, friends, fans, and especially his children, who will look up to him for strength as they navigate life without the late actress.
“For the sake of our family, friends, and fans who showed up in prayers, calls, posts, and most especially for my children, who will draw strength from me as we learn to move on without our Allwell Ademola, I promise to stand strong,” he added.
The actor also expressed gratitude to those who have reached out to him with messages, calls, and voice notes, noting that he has seen the outpouring of love but is currently too weak to respond.
“To everyone who has genuinely reached out to me with love and concern for my state of mind and well-being, I see all. I’m just too weak to read, listen, respond, or even find the words to express how I really feel right now,” Salami said.
Allwell Ademola’s death has continued to draw emotional reactions from colleagues and fans, many of whom have described her as a talented actress, mentor, and pillar within the Yoruba Nollywood industry.
