Afrobeats rising star LOVN, born Charles Akinloye, has officially joined Mavin Records, marking a significant milestone in his fast-growing music career.
The announcement was made on Thursday by the label’s founder, Don Jazzy, who praised the young singer’s consistency, talent, and dedication over the years.

Beyond competitions, the music executive said he closely followed LOVN’s journey on social media, where the singer consistently showcased his vocal strength, songwriting ability, and freestyle sessions.
According to Don Jazzy, LOVN’s work ethic stood out so strongly that he once stayed at the producer’s penthouse for three months, using the time to record new music and refine his craft.
To mark his official entry into the Mavin family, LOVN released his debut single under the label, titled “Sorry I’m Busy.”
The track explores the tough realities of hustling, financial pressure, and the relentless pursuit of success.
Accompanied by a visually striking music video, the project blends futuristic desert scenes with high-energy visuals that match the bold, gritty tone of the song.
With a powerhouse label behind him and a debut single already gaining momentum, LOVN is widely seen as one of Afrobeats’ next major breakout stars.
His signing further strengthens Mavin Records’ reputation for discovering and developing some of the biggest names in contemporary African music.
