Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State has sworn in a new set of appointed and reappointed Special Advisers and the Director-General of the Performance and Projects Implementation Monitoring Unit (PPIMU).
The governor also formally inaugurated the Chairman and members of the new Ondo State Law Commission.
The ceremony, held at the Cocoa Conference Centre in Akure, was described as a significant step in strengthening the state’s governance structure under the administration’s “OUR EASE” policy thrust.

Aiyedatiwa described the event as a solemn affirmation of the administration’s commitment to people-centred leadership and integrity.
He stressed that governance is not about preserving power but the “selfless deployment of authority for the advancement of human dignity.”
The governor stated that the appointments were the result of careful consideration, rigorous and merit-based evaluation, meant to sustain a team of tested professionals and patriotic citizens.
He urged the appointees to approach their roles with humility, diligence, and a keen sense of responsibility.
“The applause that greets your appointment today must be matched by the applause that greets your performance tomorrow. We will note efforts, but we value results more. Let your work be your loudest testimony,” he cautioned.
Nine Special Advisers were sworn in, alongside the new Director-General of the PPIMU.
The Special Advisers include: Olugbenga Omole (Transport), Gani Mohammed (Special Duties and Strategy), Allen Sowore (Communication and Strategy), and Summy Smart Francis (Entrepreneurship & Innovation)
Others are Tunji Rhema (Environment), Kikelomo Ikuomola (Public Affairs & Intergovernmental Relations), Wale Aladenusi (Marine & Blue Economy), Kolawole Babatunde (Legislative and Party Affairs) and Igbekele Akinrinwa (Local Government Affairs).
The Director-General of PPIMU was tasked with critical responsibilities, including standardised project monitoring, judicious use of resources, and fiscal responsibility to efficiently deliver the “OUR EASE” agenda, with a focus on time, cost, quality, and flexibility.
Aiyedatiwa also inaugurated the Ondo State Law Commission with Femi Okunjemiruwa as Chairman.
Other members sworn in included Olufemi Mayor Omosua (North), Raymond Olaleye Ogunmoyero (Central), Oladehingbe Sunday (Central), and Tope Olajube Esq. (North).

The governor tasked the commission with reviewing and reforming the state’s legal framework to make it more just, effective, and adaptable to society’s evolving needs.
Responding on behalf of the appointees, Omole thanked the governor and pledged their commitment, promising to deliver significant impact across the state.
