Senator Ned Nwoko’s Moroccan wife, Laila Charani, has accused her co-wife, Regina Daniels, of introducing her to illicit drugs, sparking a fresh wave of controversy within the Nwoko family.
Laila made the allegations in a recent post shared via her official Instagram page, days after Regina claimed that Nwoko’s other wives were also involved in drug use.
In her lengthy post, Charani alleged that it was Regina who first exposed her to substance abuse six years ago, shortly after she joined the family.

She claimed that she nearly lost her marriage due to the habit until her husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, intervened and forced her to seek help.
“You know too well that I almost lost my marriage when you introduced me to drugs six years ago, and it was my husband’s quick insistence on intervention that rescued me from that dark path,” Laila wrote.
Charani further alleged that Regina has been a “bad influence” in the household, accusing her of introducing drugs and alcohol to domestic staff, including nannies and her younger sister, Destiny.
“You have been a bad influence since you married into this beautiful family, giving drugs to nannies and our workers, including your younger sister, Destiny. You infested everyone with your virus,” she alleged.
The Moroccan-born wife, who has often maintained a low profile compared to her younger co-wife, claimed that Regina’s ongoing clash with their husband stems from his insistence that she quit drug and alcohol use. According to Laila, Senator Nwoko neither drinks nor smokes and has always maintained a disciplined lifestyle.
“The only reason you’re fighting Ned is because he wants you to stop drug and alcohol addiction. My husband does not smoke nor take alcohol, yet you keep trying to justify your recklessness,” she added.
Charani went further to make an explosive claim, accusing Regina Daniels of lesbianism and inappropriate behaviour with other women around her.
“I will not trust my daughters around you unsupervised, especially when I found out that you were sleeping with every single girl around you,” she wrote, urging Regina to seek psychological help and stay away from other wives in the family.
“You need help, Regina. Please go get therapy and leave us out of your mess with our husband,” Charani concluded.
The accusations come amid a turbulent period in Regina Daniels’ marriage, following her public fallout with Senator Nwoko.
The actress recently accused her husband of domestic violence and intimidation, prompting a storm of controversy online.
In response, Nwoko dismissed her allegations, claiming Regina was battling drug addiction and had refused to continue her rehabilitation program.
As of the time of filing this report, Regina Daniels has not reacted to Laila Charani’s latest claims.
Observers note that this development may further strain the public image of the Nwoko family, which has faced intense scrutiny since the actress announced her separation from the lawmaker.
