Nollywood actress Uche Montana has finally spoken out amid the ongoing controversy involving Senator Ned Nwoko and his estranged wife, Regina Daniels, after her name surfaced in the heated exchange.
The actress, known for her roles in romantic dramas and social comedies, took to Instagram on Monday morning to address the rumours linking her to Regina’s alleged drug-related struggles.
In her statement, Uche Montana firmly denied having any connection to the issue, describing the allegations as completely false and misleading.

She wrote: “I wasn’t going to say anything, but I feel it’s important to clear the air. My attention has been drawn to a circulating post that appears to link my name to certain claims. For clarity, I have no involvement or connection to the situation described. This note is simply to set the record straight and protect my peace.”
The actress added that she had chosen to remain silent initially but decided to respond after seeing her name repeatedly mentioned in online reports and social media discussions.
She emphasised that she values her peace of mind and career integrity and would not allow false information to tarnish her image.
The controversy began after billionaire businessman and politician Ned Nwoko accused several of Regina Daniels’ colleagues and friends of frustrating her alleged rehabilitation process.
In his statement, Nwoko claimed that Regina’s friends, including Uche Montana, were among those who encouraged her drug use instead of helping her recovery.
He alleged: “Unfortunately, Sammy, Destiny, some of their siblings, together with a few of their friends, notably Uche Montana among others, constantly defied those instructions. They would come into the house uninvited, sometimes forcing their way in, and would bring her the same drugs she was being treated for. Instead of helping her recover, they encouraged her addiction and completely frustrated the efforts of the doctors and therapists working with her.”
Nwoko’s comments quickly spread across social media, sparking outrage and debate among fans, with many demanding responses from the individuals mentioned.
However, Uche Montana has now set the record straight, insisting she has no link whatsoever to the claims. She noted that she is fully focused on her acting career and maintaining peace in her personal life.
“I am not connected to whatever is happening. I am focused on my work and my peace,” she added in her post.
Meanwhile, neither Regina Daniels nor Ned Nwoko has publicly responded to Uche Montana’s denial. The situation remains a major topic of discussion online, with new reactions surfacing daily.
Uche Montana’s clarification appears to be an attempt to protect her reputation as the conversation around Regina Daniels’ alleged rehabilitation continues to dominate headlines.
The actress ended her statement on a reflective note, saying she only wished to move forward positively. “This note is simply to set the record straight and protect my peace,” she reiterated.
