Nigeria’s Chiamaka Nnadozie has been named among a strong list of contenders for The Best FIFA Women’s Goalkeeper Award 2025, facing tough competition from some of the world’s finest shot-stoppers, including Ann-Katrin Berger (Germany), Cata Coll (Spain), Christiane Endler (Chile), Hannah Hampton (England), Anna Moorhouse (England), and Phallon Tullis-Joyce (USA).
Nnadozie’s inclusion comes after an outstanding 2024/25 season in which she played a crucial role in Paris FC’s historic Coupe de France Féminine triumph—their first in nearly two decades. She also helped guide the club to the French league playoffs before making a move to Brighton & Hove Albion Women in England.
The 24-year-old has continued to make waves both at club and international level. She is also in contention for her third CAF Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year award at the upcoming CAF Awards.
Earlier this year, Nnadozie was instrumental in Nigeria’s 10th WAFCON title win in Morocco, where she was named Goalkeeper of the Tournament after keeping four clean sheets in six matches and conceding only twice from open play in the final, where the Super Falcons rallied from two goals down to defeat Morocco 3–2.
In England, Nnadozie has maintained her remarkable form, earning a nomination for the 2025 Women’s Yachine Trophy at the Ballon d’Or ceremony, where she impressively finished fourth overall.
