Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has revealed that her parents, Rita Daniels and Jude Ojeogwu, have reunited to work together for the release of her younger brother, Sammy West, who is reportedly still in detention.
New Daily Prime reports that while Regina’s mother, Rita, has been outspoken throughout her daughter’s ongoing marital crisis with Senator Ned Nwoko, her father has largely remained silent on the matter.

However, in a heartfelt post shared on Instagram on Thursday, the actress confirmed that her estranged parents have now come together, setting aside past differences for a common goal, their daughter’s and family’s well-being.
According to Regina, the reunion of her parents was motivated by “no negative ulterior motive other than their daughter’s happiness.” She also expressed gratitude for their support and described it as something she had always wished for.
Speaking about her brother’s continued detention, Regina voiced frustration over the delay in his release, stating that she was willing to personally intervene if necessary.
“Sammy’s detainment is taking way too long, but we will get him out even if I have to march there myself and create a storm! Since they want me,” she wrote.
The actress further disclosed that her father, Jude Ojeogwu, is a lawyer who once had a thriving career but suffered setbacks due to systemic challenges in Nigeria.
“My father is a lawyer, one of the biggest back in the day, but Nigeria happened. I’ll tell you more about my father later. And my mother? She’s a powerhouse. They would do anything for their children. I love you mom and dad! This is all I actually ever wanted,” she added.
The Daniels family has recently been in the spotlight following reports of Regina’s marital issues with her husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, and the alleged arrest of her siblings amid the controversy.
Her confirmation of her parents’ reunion has drawn mixed reactions online, with fans expressing both relief and concern, relief that her family appears united in a difficult time, and concern over the ongoing legal troubles surrounding her brother’s arrest.
