Nigerian rapper and singer Ice Prince Zamani has broken his silence on his recent physical transformation, addressing speculations surrounding his noticeable weight loss.
The “Oleku” hitmaker clarified that he is not ill, explaining that his slimmer look was the result of a conscious lifestyle change and a commitment to better health.

According to him, years of unhealthy eating and poor fitness habits had caused him to gain excessive belly weight, which prompted him to take action.
The rapper credited music producer Chopstix and a friend named Dami for inspiring and supporting him throughout his fitness journey.
In his words:
“God so good inna me life… A short story! I was literally about to explode… no sickness (Bless God), just bad habits and choices. But then Chopstix and Dami said ‘let’s lose the belly, Ice,’ and that really sparked something in my brain that got me activated. From that meeting, my brother Chopstix started coming to my house every day after dinner and we both walked my estate for an hour.”
He added that those walks not only helped him shed weight but also gave him a chance to bond with Chopstix, describing their late-night talks as “priceless.”
“Our talks during those walks are priceless to me, as every other thing we’ve both talked about since we were kids. Buss a shot fa ma true fren,” he wrote.
The rapper’s candid revelation has drawn positive reactions from fans who praised his openness and discipline, commending him for prioritizing his health despite a busy lifestyle.
Ice Prince’s journey comes amid growing attention toward celebrity body transformations in Nigeria.
In recent years, several public figures have sparked conversations about body image, fitness, and health awareness.
In 2022, actress Eniola Badmus made headlines after shedding nearly 80 kilograms, reducing her weight from 170kg to 90kg.

Her transformation drew mixed reactions, while some praised her dedication, others speculated she had undergone surgery. Badmus later confirmed that her new look was the result of strict dieting and lifestyle changes.
Similarly, earlier this year, Mercy Johnson-Okojie faced public scrutiny following her dramatic weight loss. Many fans speculated about her health, but the actress later clarified that her transformation was linked to a thyroid-related medical procedure, which initially sparked unfounded cancer rumors.
Ice Prince’s message adds to the growing trend of Nigerian celebrities advocating healthier lifestyles and debunking rumours surrounding weight loss.
His openness about self-discipline and the support of friends serves as a reminder that personal well-being often requires accountability and lifestyle changes.
With his renewed energy and fitness, fans are now eager to see how the rapper’s physical transformation might reflect in his music and stage performance as he continues his comeback into the spotlight.
