Following a string of disappointing results, Enyimba Football Club of Aba has issued a two-match deadline to their technical adviser, Coach Stanley Eguma, to help improve the team’s performance.
The ultimatum was announced after the club fell 2-1 to Plateau United on matchday 10 at the new Jos Stadium. The information was made public through a statement from the club’s management and shared with journalists by the club’s media officer, Samson Orji, in Aba.
Enyimba management has ordered the coaching staff to achieve positive results in their upcoming two matches against Kano Pillars at home this weekend and Abia Warriors in Umuahia.
Enyimba’s management highlighted that the club has a proud tradition of winning and high expectations for success.
They noted, “While we appreciate the work of the technical team so far, the current results do not align with the club’s ambitions. We expect an immediate improvement starting with Sunday’s home game against Kano Pillars.”
The club reassured fans and stakeholders that all necessary measures are being taken to ensure a swift turnaround in performance as the season continues.
The nine-time champions have slipped to ninth place in the league standings following their third consecutive loss, after earlier defeats to Warri Wolves in Aba and Kun Khalifat FC in Owe.
