The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has announced the postponement of the screening exercise for aspirants seeking positions in its forthcoming 2025 Elective National Convention.
The screening, which was initially scheduled for Tuesday, October 28, 2025, has been put on hold due to “unforeseen circumstances.”
This was announced in a press release issued on Monday by the Chairman of the National Convention Organising Committee (NCOC) and Executive Governor of Adamawa State, Umaru Fintiri.

Fintiri stated that a new date for the screening will be communicated to all aspirants and party members once it is finalised, while regretting any inconveniences caused by the delay.
Despite the postponement of the screening exercise, he reaffirmed NCOC’s commitment to delivering a credible and successful 2025 Elective National Convention on the previously announced dates of Saturday, November 15 to Sunday, November 16, 2025, in Ibadan, the Oyo State Capital.
