Umar Tanko-Yakasai, Director-General of the Tinubu Support Group (TSG), has called on members of the Bola Ahmed Tinubu Ideological Group to intensify grassroots sensitisation on government policies, leveraging the group’s newly launched handbook.
The appeal was made during a courtesy visit by the group to his Abuja residence on Tuesday, where the handbook was unveiled.
The event, attended by coordinators from all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory, underscored the group’s national reach and responsibility to engage communities, according to a statement issued by Yakasai.

He commended the group’s convener, Bamidele Atoyebi, for institutionalising President Bola Tinubu’s ideology and urged members to prioritise political education and public enlightenment.
“The handbook is a guide to promote grassroots awareness of government policies,” Yakasai said, expressing satisfaction with the group’s efforts in advancing political education.
Tejumade Suleiman, patron of the group, described the handbook’s unveiling as a milestone that must translate into tangible grassroots impact, encouraging members to remain dedicated.
Atoyebi, presenting the handbook, called it a “compass” for promoting Tinubu’s progressive governance ideals, urging coordinators to use it for sensitisation, strategy, and community engagement.
He emphasised that the group should evolve into a body of technocrats capable of shaping national policy, moving beyond traditional political mobilisation.
Atoyebi highlighted key campaigns for members to champion, including local government autonomy, healthcare reforms, the NELFUND student loan scheme, and the ₦45,000 monthly stipend for technical college students under the TVET reform.

He revealed that the group had invested ₦20 million in deploying drones to monitor federal projects, sponsored radio jingles, donated a website to TSG, and secured formal registration with the Corporate Affairs Commission.
“President Tinubu’s values of public service, inclusiveness, humility, and progressive ideas must remain our guiding principles,” Atoyebi told coordinators, urging them to study the handbook and implement its strategies in their states.
