The draw for the revamped UEFA Women’s Champions League (UWCL) group stage has been concluded, setting up a string of high-profile encounters for Europe’s elite clubs.
England’s representatives—Arsenal, Chelsea, and debutants Manchester United—now know the challenges that await them on the continental stage.
Making their first-ever appearance in the competition, Manchester United face a daunting task. Marc Skinner’s side has been placed in a formidable group featuring record champions Lyon, German heavyweights Wolfsburg, French giants Paris Saint-Germain, Italy’s Juventus, Norway’s Valarenga, and Spain’s Atletico Madrid.

The draw hands United a baptism of fire but also a golden opportunity to test themselves against Europe’s best.
Arsenal, the reigning champions, will begin their title defence with a tough but balanced group. Jonas Eidevall’s Gunners will host Lyon, Real Madrid, and Dutch side Twente at the Emirates, while away fixtures include trips to Bayern Munich, Portuguese champions Benfica, and Belgian outfit Leuven.
With a blend of experience and youthful talent, Arsenal remain confident of progressing deep into the tournament.
Chelsea, semi-finalists last season, also face a challenging path. Emma Hayes’ side will take on defending Spanish champions Barcelona, Wolfsburg, Roma, Austrian champions St Pölten, Paris FC, and Twente.
After falling just short of the final in the previous campaign, the Blues will be determined to go one better, though their group promises no easy fixtures.

Beyond the English contingent, the draw has produced several blockbuster ties.
Barcelona’s clash with Bayern Munich is tipped as one of the stage’s biggest showdowns, while Lyon’s meeting with Wolfsburg reignites one of the fiercest rivalries in women’s football.
