During the exercise, the Permanent Secretary of the state Health District IV, Abimbola Bowale, addressed the new recruits on the importance of civil service ethics.
Represented by the Director of Administration and Human Resources, Seriki Titilola, Bowale underscored that character is the primary guiding principle for all civil servants.
He urged participants to embody core values such as honesty, integrity, accountability, and loyalty to public interest over personal gain.
Bowale explained that the training was designed to help staff build public trust, prevent misconduct, and effectively support the government’s good governance agenda.
He instructed the workers to be diligent in their duties, treat the public with fairness and respect, and avoid any conflicts of interest.
The session also provided guidance on how to complete the Lagos State Government Staff Performance Appraisal and Development (SPADEV) Report.
