Senator Solomon Adeola, also known as Yayi, has pledged full commitment to serve the people of Ogun State after he was chosen as the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the 2027 election.
Adeola made this known in a statement released on Facebook shortly after party leaders agreed on his candidacy.
He thanked everyone in the party for their support and trust in him.
He specially thanked President Bola Tinubu, for what he considered a strong leadership and commitment to the growth of the party and the country.
Adeola maintained that Tinubu’s role has helped ensure progress in the party.

He also praised the Governor of Ogun State, Dapo Abiodun, for his support and belief in his ability to lead the state.
Adeola said the governor’s guidance played an important role in his emergence as the party’s candidate.

He thanked party leaders and members across Ogun for choosing him as a consensus candidate.
He described the decision as a strong sign of unity within the party.
“This honour is deeply humbling, and I do not take it for granted. I pledge my total commitment to the ideals of our party and to the service of the good people of Ogun State,” Adeola said.
He noted that he is ready to work with all members of the party to achieve success in the next election.
Adeola promised to remain loyal to the values and goals of the APC.
He maintained that the party will serve the people and build on the work already done in the state.
He mentioned the importance of unity within the party ahead of 2027, noting that members must work together to run a peaceful and successful campaign.
“We will work tirelessly to build on our achievements, ensure a successful and united campaign, and emerge victorious in 2027,” he said.
Adeola expressed confidence that with support from the people, the party will achieve its goals in the coming election.
