Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State has assured residents that his administration will complete all ongoing road projects across the state, including those inherited from previous governments.
Speaking at a stakeholders’ meeting of the All Progressives Congress (APC) yesterday, the governor also urged party members to actively participate in voter registration and mobilise new supporters ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Aiyedatiwa said his administration is working to attract investors to boost the state’s economy, citing a memorandum of understanding for a cement factory, a fertiliser plant, and a petrochemical industry.
He also announced that the state would intervene in some federal roads to improve connectivity, in addition to the Ikare-Akoko, Idanre-Akure, and Okitipupa-Igbokoda roads already in motion.
In a push for party unity, the governor called on APC members to strengthen the party at the grassroots level, aiming to register at least one thousand new members in every ward.
He emphasised that the Renewed Hope Initiative is specifically designed to achieve this goal and called for regular meetings to maintain unity and readiness for future elections.
Also, the state APC Chairman, Ade Adetimehin, echoed the governor’s call for unity, stressing that there is no division within the party.
He said the party and government are one and urged members to respect the party’s supremacy.

More so, the Chairman of the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Victor Olabimtan, and the Director of Corporate Services of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Ifedayo Abegunde, both affirmed the party’s unity and commended the governor’s performance.
The meeting was attended by prominent political figures, including the Deputy Governor, Olayide Adelami; former Deputy Governor, Lasisi Oluboyo; and the Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Olamide Oladiji.
