Morocco is set to face Madagascar in the much-anticipated final of the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN).
The showdown, marking the tournament’s eighth edition, will take place on Saturday in Nairobi after both teams successfully navigated their semi-final clashes on Tuesday.
Over the past three weeks, the tournament—jointly hosted by Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda—has delivered thrilling encounters and unforgettable moments.

Morocco booked their place in the final after edging past defending champions Senegal in a dramatic semi-final.
The match ended 1-1 after extra time before the Atlas Lions held their nerve in a tense penalty shootout, winning 5-3.
The victory sends Morocco to their third CHAN final in six years, having previously lifted the trophy in 2018 and 2020.
Madagascar, meanwhile, have written history of their own by reaching the final in only their second appearance at the tournament.
After a nail-biting penalty victory in the quarter-finals, they went on to defeat hosts Kenya in another shootout, sealing a 4-3 win in the semis.
Their remarkable run underscores their growing stature in African football.
Before Saturday’s final, Senegal will face Sudan in the third-place playoff on Friday at the Mandela National Stadium in Kampala.
