The development came just days after Oyebanji, who is seeking re-election for a second term, dissolved the State Executive Council with immediate effect.
In announcing the dissolution, the governor directed all affected Commissioners and Special Advisers to hand over to the Permanent Secretary or the most senior civil servant in their respective Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs).
Oyebanji expressed gratitude to the outgoing members of the cabinet and wished them success in their future endeavours.
However, the dissolution did not extend to certain key offices. Exempted were the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice; the Commissioners for Health and Human Services, Agriculture and Food Security, Education, Works, and Trade, Investment, Industry and Cooperatives.
Also unaffected were the Special Adviser on Special Education and Social Inclusion, and the Special Adviser on Lands, Survey and e-GIS.
