The National Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), David Mark, has reiterated the party’s unwavering stance against political imposition, special privileges, and unaccountable governance, as it prepares for the 2027 general elections.
Speaking on Tuesday during the 2025 International Youth Day celebration held in Abuja and organised by the ADC National Youth Wing, Mark – represented by Salihu Lukman, former APC National Vice Chairman (North-West) – said the ADC would position itself as a principled and people-focused alternative, particularly for Nigeria’s youth and progressive-minded citizens.
The event, themed “Local Youth Actions for the SDGs and Beyond”, brought together youth leaders, political figures, and advocates of progressive change, with discussions centred on sustainable development and inclusive political participation.
David Mark, a former Senate President and ex-Military Administrator of Niger State, declared that the ADC under his leadership would prioritise unity, courage, and service to the nation.
“ADC will be committed to genuine democratic values, rejecting imposition, special privileges, and politics without accountability,” he stated. “Internal democracy, transparency, and fairness will remain our guiding principles.”
