Popular Nigerian singer David Adeleke ‘Davido’ has unfollowed actress Iyabo Ojo on Instagram, following a heated social media exchange sparked by leaked private messages.
The fallout comes after a well-known social media activist, VeryDarkMan, leaked a WhatsApp conversation in which Iyabo Ojo criticised Davido’s response to the late singer Mohbad’s death.
The leaked chat, shared publicly on Instagram by VeryDarkMan, revealed Iyabo Ojo accusing Davido of chasing clout rather than genuinely supporting Mohbad’s cause.
She also expressed disappointment that Davido continues to follow controversial singer Naira Marley on social media, despite claiming to stand for justice for Mohbad.
In the conversation, Iyabo Ojo reportedly said, “My problem is not even the black whatever, it is Davido who flew down like he claimed to fight for justice, but he still dey follow Naira Marley. That means he was chasing clout. I’m so disappointed with him. To think he has been saying he is the only superstar artist who stood by Mohbad. Jess fake love 001.”

The actress’s remarks imply that Davido’s show of support was insincere and aimed more at gaining public attention than at seeking justice for Mohbad.
Following the leak, Davido swiftly unfollowed Iyabo Ojo on Instagram. However, a recent check by New Daily Prime shows that Iyabo Ojo still follows Davido on her own Instagram account.

In a past interview, she acknowledged the emotional strain and complexities involved in the case and the public outcry it generated.
