The Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) has received two major awards from ILERA EKO in recognition of its outstanding contributions to healthcare delivery in Lagos State.
According to LASUTH on Tuesday, the awards which was received recently highlighted LASUTH’s continuous efforts to improve patient care and promote health within the community.
The first award, titled “Most Improved Healthcare Provider (Compliance)”, was given to the hospital for its notable progress in meeting ILERA EKO’s service standards and enhancing enrollee satisfaction through better service delivery.
LASUTH also received a Special Recognition Award for its strong support of ILERA EKO campaigns, health outreaches, and community education initiatives, which have helped raise awareness about the importance of healthcare among residents.

Deputy Chairman of the Medical Advisory Committee (Clinical Governance), Dr Femi Ojo, accepted the awards on behalf of the Chief Medical Director, Prof. Adetokunbo Fabamwo.
He expressed gratitude for the recognition and assured the public of LASUTH’s commitment to providing quality and affordable healthcare for all Lagosians.
The ILERA EKO Insurance Scheme is part of the Lagos State Health Scheme and aims to make healthcare more accessible to both formal and informal workers.
Furthermore, it provides basic primary care and selected secondary services across the state.
