A rare Jihadist deadly attack on Bamako, the capital city of Mali, a West African country has left 77 people dead and 255 wounded.
Unidentified security sources in Mali told AFP on Thursday that the militants attacked a military police training camp and a military airport in Bamako, killing at least 77 people and wounding 255 others on Tuesday.
However, authenticated confidential official documents put the death toll at around 100, and 81 victims were wounded.
Mali has been facing a series of Islamist militant attacks and killings in recent times.
Earlier this month, it was reported that Islamist militants attacked a river boat in North-Eastern Mali, killing at least 49 civilians.
They also reportedly attacked an army camp, killing 15 soldiers, while around 50 militants were said to have died during the attack.
