Peter Obi, the 2023 Labour Party presidential candidate, has extended warm greetings to Muslims across Nigeria as they marked Eid al-Adha.
He urged leaders at all levels to embrace the virtues of sacrifice, humility, and service.
In a statement posted in his X page and titled “Eid al-Adha: A Time for Reflection, Sacrifice, and Leadership”, the 63-year-old said the celebration served as a powerful reminder of faith, obedience, and selflessness.

He joined Muslims in thanking Almighty Allah for the grace of unity and peace that the sacred occasion represents.
Obi also described Eid al-Adha as a time for deep reflection on the values that bind Nigerians together— compassion, justice, and shared responsibility, especially towards the most vulnerable.
The former governor of Anambra State called on political leaders to reflect on the noble ideals of leadership and to apply them meaningfully in their service to the public.

“I wish all Nigerians a peaceful and joyful Sallah. May this season renew our collective hope, strengthen our unity, and inspire us all to work toward a better, more inclusive Nigeria,” he stated.
