Speaking upon his return to Akure from Abuja yesterday, the governor emphasised that the safety of lives and property remains a top priority for his administration.
He highlighted ongoing efforts to strengthen security agencies, including the police, Amotekun Corps, and other outfits, through improved intelligence gathering, surveillance, and logistics support.
“We have been working tirelessly with all security agencies to ensure that Ondo State remains safe. Our government has continued to invest in security infrastructure, and we will not relent in providing the necessary tools and support to enhance their effectiveness,” Aiyedatiwa stated.

He further disclosed that plans are underway to procure advanced security gadgets and equipment to bolster security operations across the state.
Governor Aiyedatiwa also welcomed the Supreme Court’s decision affirming his candidacy in the last gubernatorial election.

The apex court dismissed an appeal filed by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Agboola Ajayi, thereby upholding the legitimacy of Aiyedatiwa and his deputy, Olayide Adelami, as the valid candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The governor lauded the judiciary for its commitment to upholding justice, describing the ruling as a testament to the courts’ adherence to facts and the rule of law.
“The Supreme Court and the Court of Appeal have once again demonstrated their dedication to ensuring that democracy thrives.
“Their judgments have been based on clear legal principles, and this verdict reaffirms the mandate given to us by the people of Ondo State,” he said.
