The Commissioner of Police in Lagos, Moshood Jimoh, has disclosed the security detail of Lagos State House of Assembly, Mojisola Meranda, has been restored.
The police chief said this on Thursday while addressing journalists, adding the speaker’s security detail was initially withdrawn for audit purposes.
He noted that the audit of the security personnel attached to some persons and facilities was aimed at proper accountability of the police officers and their weapons.

While expressing that Lagos is not the only state in the country taking audits of police personnel, he stated that “the ongoing police personnel audit is done in the public interest and not with any consideration except for the safety of everyone in the state.
“As we speak, the audit of the police personnel of honourable Mojisola Meranda has been completed, and the four armed police personnel attached from the Lagos police command have been returned to her for protection.
Jimoh expressed that the police personnel audit has been ongoing for several days, and prominent personalities have been complying with it.
