Ondo State Governor and All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the upcoming November 16 governorship election, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, on Monday affirmed his commitment to prioritizing the needs of the people.
At the inauguration ceremony of the party’s National Campaign Council for the election, Aiyedatiwa emphasised his dedication to enhancing citizens’ quality of life over the next four years if elected.
He expressed gratitude to President Bola Tinubu, recognizing his unifying leadership and vision, which have strengthened the party and instilled a renewed sense of hope among its members.
“I thank Mr President for personally taking the driving wheels in the journey to this point. I thank him for his resilience, courage, compassion and integrity which have contributed in no small measure to the strength and prosperity of our party.
“What we are doing here today is a display of the strength of our will when we work together. It is the evidence of our capability which by God’s grace will produce victory on 16th November 20244”, he said.
Governor Aiyedatiwa paid tribute to the late Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, former governor, whose visionary leadership continues to inspire the current administration.
He led a moment of silence in recognition of Akeredolu’s significant contributions to the state’s development.
Reflecting on the administration’s achievements over the past ten months, Governor Aiyedatiwa highlighted several key milestones: the construction of over 70 kilometres of rural roads to improve access to agricultural areas, job creation through the recruitment of workers in essential sectors, and plans to hire additional teachers to strengthen educational outcomes.
He said his administration has also made strides in enhancing healthcare services, supporting local businesses, and promoting community development.
“This inauguration is not just a formality; it’s a commitment to the people of Ondo State that we will continue to work tirelessly for their betterment,” the Governor declared, conveying optimism for the future of both the party and the state.
