Mohammed Kudus hit with further charge along with West Ham and Tottenham

Ghana and West Ham player Mohammed Kudus may be in more disciplinary trouble than it initially appeared with the FA bringing further charges against him. The midfielder was shown a red card during West Ham’s 4-1 defeat to Tottenham after kicking Tottenham defender Micky van de Ven and pushing him and Pape Matar Sarr in the face.
The FA is further charging the Ghanaian with “violent conduct and acting in an improper manner.” The alleged act was perpetrated after the offence for which he was sent off.
Referee Andrew Madley initially booked the 24-year-old with a yellow card for pushing on Van de Ven. However, this was upgraded to a red card after a VAR review from which the referee saw that he pushed on the Dutchman and his teammate Sarr. Van de Ven and Sarr had both surrounded Kudus after the incident.
He could see his added sanctions beyond his present three-game ban for violent conduct if he’s found guilty of the new charge. He has until Thursday to respond.
In the same vein, both West Ham and Tottenham have also been charged. The FA charged the clubs for failing to prevent their players from acting “in an improper and/or provocative and/or violent way. The charges are connected to the incident involving Kudus and the clubs also have until Thursday to file their responses.
