Rapper Aboriomoh Raymond, popularly known as Dremo, has said he believes his talent is not properly appreciated in the Nigerian music industry.

Speaking in an interview with Echo Room, the former Davido Music Worldwide star said he feels underrated despite his abilities in the studio.

“I feel like I am so underrated. People don’t know what I can do in the studio,” he said. “Dem no rate me at all.”
According to Dremo, one reason he has not received as much recognition is that he is primarily a rapper. He argued that rap music is not as widely appreciated in Nigeria as genres such as Afrobeats and pop.
The rapper suggested that many Nigerian listeners tend to favour commercially popular sounds, leaving hip-hop artistes with less attention and fewer accolades.
Dremo also reflected on his time at Davido Music Worldwide, saying his experience at the label did not meet the expectations he had when he joined.
He claimed that the label’s management placed most of its attention on founder and superstar David Adeleke, while other artistes under the label received less support.
According to Dremo, this imbalance affected the growth and visibility of other musicians signed to the label.
His comments add to a growing number of former DMW artistes who have spoken publicly about their experiences after leaving the record company.
