Afrobeats singer Omah Didia, popularly known as Omah Lay, has spoken about friendship and relationships in the Nigerian music industry, describing it as one filled with strong personalities and egos.
Speaking on the Nando Leaks Podcast, the singer said his personality makes it difficult for him to maintain a large circle of friends.

According to Omah Lay, he does not seek validation from others and prefers to keep only a few people around him, mainly those who genuinely understand him and his goals.
“I have a very weird personality. I believe I am just that guy, so I don’t have a lot of friends,” he said. “I don’t talk to a lot of people, just very few people and those people are people who try to come into my world and understand where I am going.”
The singer also said that the Nigerian music industry is full of people with strong egos, including himself.
“The Nigerian music scene is full of egos. I am a chill guy but I have too much ego. It is hard to make friends like that,” he said.
Despite admitting that he has a large ego, Omah Lay said he sometimes tries to be more humble because he believes too much pride can stand in the way of personal growth and success.
His comments offer further insight into the personality of the “Soso” crooner, who has previously described himself as different from many of his peers in the industry.
