Nigerian comedian Samuel Perry, popularly known as Broda Shaggi, has been reportedly shot in the thigh while filming a comedy skit in Sango-Ota, Ogun State.
According to the Punch report, revealed that the comedian was rushed to the hospital following the shooting under Sango-Ota bridge.
Sources further claimed that he is currently in the hospital receiving treatment, following his team’s quick response to the incident.
He was reportedly rushed to Blooming Care Hospital in the Alakuko area of Lagos for emergency treatment.
Later, he was moved to Duchess Hospital in Ikeja. The Lagos State Police Command spokesperson, Abimbola Adebisi, confirmed the incident.
She noted that the hospital contacted the police after a gunshot victim was brought in.
Adebisi further revealed, “He was seen on a stretcher with an injury to his thigh.”
The incident happened in Sango-Ota, which is in Ogun State. But the Lagos police are looking into the matter because he was taken to the state for treatment.
The Ogun State Police spokesperson, Oluseyi Babaseyi, has responded, stating that the incident had not yet been officially reported to their command.
