A member of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Dele Momodu, has warned on X formerly known as Twitter that President Bola Tinubu seeks to “obliterate” political opposition in Nigeria, urging Nigerians to unite against it.
Momodu stated that the only way to stop Tinubu from succeeding is for Nigerians to come together and fight back regardless of their political parties.
He declared, “It should be obvious by now that Tinubu does not want any opposition and he will do anything and everything to exterminate and obliterate opposition, if Nigerians do not unite beyond parties to fight back.”
Addressing the crisis in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Momodu defended Atiku Abubakar by suggesting that people should not blame Atiku for the problems in the party.
He explained that Peter Obi chose to leave the PDP on his own before the primary election.
Momodu also pointed out that Wike tried to be Atiku’s running mate but failed. He claimed Wike then chose to support Tinubu instead.
He wrote, “Wike lobbied to be Atiku’s running mate and lost out, and later chose to support Tinubu; how’s that Atiku’s fault?”
He argued that Wike has not been removed from the PDP because he has the support of Tinubu and influence over the judiciary.
Momodu stated, “The only reason Wike could not be suspended or expelled from PDP is his stranglehold on the Judiciary and President Tinubu.”
He asked why people are trying to stop Atiku from running for office when the law allows everyone to follow their dreams.
He maintained that Atiku did not cause the problems in the Labour Party (LP) or the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP).
In his warning, Momodu clearly stated that Tinubu does not want any opposition. He insisted that Tinubu will do anything to crush other parties unless Nigerians unite to stop him.
