The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced that its 2026 State Congress will take place on Tuesday, March 3.
The party disclosed this in a notice issued on Monday by the Chairman of the Lagos State Congress Committee, stating that the exercise will be held at the Mobolaji Johnson Stadium, formerly known as Onikan Stadium, on Lagos Island, beginning at 10am.
The statement noted, “Pursuant to the provisions of Article 12.8 of the party’s Constitution, the All Progressives Congress, Lagos State Chapter, hereby announces the scheduled 2026 State Congress.”
According to the party, eligible participants include members of the State Advisory Council, the State Chairman and members of the State Executive Committee, as well as the State Governor and Deputy Governor who belong to the party.
Also expected at the congress are serving and former members of the National Assembly from Lagos State who are APC members, alongside members of the party’s National Executive Committee from the state.
The list further covers serving and former members of the Lagos State House of Assembly within the party, elected local government chairmen and their deputies, and councillors representing the 245 wards across the state.
Party chairmen and secretaries from all local government areas, five delegates elected from each ward during the Ward Congress, and members of the Zonal Executive Committee from Lagos State are also slated to attend.
The notice added, “All delegates are required to present their valid party membership cards and official accreditation tags for entry.”
