The Nigerian international has continued his fine form from last season, scoring four goals and providing one assist in just six league matches for the reigning German champions.

With an impressive WhoScored rating of 7.34, Boniface is currently the highest-rated 23-year-old in the Bundesliga and among Europe’s brightest young talents. This rating reflects his consistent performances and growing influence on the pitch. His early contributions have been crucial in maintaining Leverkusen’s strong league position.

Among other top young players in Europe, Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka leads the ratings with a score of 8.25, followed by Napoli’s Khvicha Kvaratskhelia (7.58), PSG’s Lee Kang-in (7.39), and Marseille’s Mason Greenwood (7.36).

Boniface’s impact extends beyond the Bundesliga. Last season, he played a pivotal role in Leverkusen’s Bundesliga title triumph, contributing 14 league goals and nine assists in 23 games, along with five goals in the Europa League as the team reached the final.

Boniface’s rise in European football has firmly established him as a key player for both Bayer Leverkusen and the Super Eagles.
