Just weeks after smashing a YouTube record, Cristiano Ronaldo has once again etched his name in the history books, becoming the first person ever to amass a staggering one billion followers across all social media platforms.

The Al Nassr superstar shared the news on his accounts, thanking his fans for their unwavering support throughout his illustrious career.

In his own words: “We’ve made history — 1 BILLION followers! This isn’t just a number, it represents our shared passion, drive, and love for the beautiful game and everything that comes with it. From kicking a ball on the streets of Madeira to gracing the world’s biggest stadiums, I’ve always played for my family and for you, my fans. And now, there’s a billion of us united.”

He continued: “You’ve been by my side through thick and thin, celebrating the victories and sharing the setbacks. This journey is ours, and together we’ve proven that the sky’s the limit. Thank you for believing in me, for your unwavering support, and for being part of my life. The best is yet to come, and we’ll continue to push boundaries, win trophies, and create history together.”

This latest achievement comes hot on the heels of another social media triumph. In August, the 38-year-old became the fastest person to reach an impressive 15 million subscribers on YouTube, achieving this feat in just 20 hours. His channel continues to grow at a phenomenal rate.

As if that wasn’t enough, Ronaldo also holds the distinction of being the first footballer to score a remarkable 850 goals. It seems there’s no stopping this footballing icon, both on and off the pitch!
