Osimhen to decide future in April – Galatasaray VP Kavukcu

Galatasaray vice president Abdullah Kavukcu has confirmed that Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen will decide his next career move in April.

Osimhen, currently on loan from Serie A club Napoli, has been a key player for the Turkish Super Lig champions. However, his future remains uncertain, with top European clubs, including Chelsea, Manchester United, and Arsenal, also vying for his signature.

Speaking to Turkish journalist Nevzat Dindar, Kavukcu revealed: “Osimhen will tell us his decision next month. At the moment, the top five clubs in the world are also interested in him.”

Despite strong competition, Galatasaray remain keen on securing Osimhen on a permanent deal. Kavukcu emphasized the club’s ambition and financial strength to keep the 26-year-old.

“In January, there was talk of his departure, but he stayed. He loves Galatasaray very much. Although we are aiming for the title, we have not yet had any direct discussion with Victor,” he added.

Kavukcu also dismissed the idea that Galatasaray would be unable to retain Osimhen, insisting that the club’s stature makes it an attractive destination for top players.

“Galatasaray are a top club. If it wasn’t so, Victor would not have come. His staying at Galatasaray is not impossible.”

Osimhen’s final decision could shape Galatasaray’s future plans as they aim to strengthen their squad for both domestic and European competitions.
