Chelsea and England forward Cole Palmer is the rave of the moment in the Premier League, after scoring all his side’s four goals in Saturday’s win over Brighton. Palmer moved to Chelsea from Manchester City for £40 million in 2023.
The 22-year-old bagged 22 goals in 33 appearances for Chelsea last season and was rewarded with a new deal meant to keep him at the London club till 2033. He has maintained his impressive form for the club this season after representing England in the Euros last summer.
With four goals against Brighton, Palmer brought his Premier League goals tally this season to six in as many games. Three of his goals this weekend were assisted by former Manchester United man Jadon Sancho. Here are the key highlights of Palmer’s Chelsea career so far in numbers:

  • With only 21 touches and five shots, all of which were on target, he scored four first-half goals against Brighton this weekend.
  • The forward now has 31 goals and 19 assists for the Blues in 53 appearances. Whereas he only scored six goals and made two assists in 41 games for Man City.
  • Palmer has made 42 Premier League goal contributions since arriving at Chelsea, the most by any player within that period, only level with City striker Erling Haaland.
  • In just 39 Premier League games for Chelsea, the English forward has secured three hat-tricks bringing him level with Frank Lampard, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink and Didier Drogba for most Premier League hat-tricks by a Chelsea player.
  • Along with Lampard, Palmer became the only Chelsea player with more than one four-goal game for the club. Palmer first scored four goals in a game for the Blues against Everton in April.
  • Palmer’s four goals against Brighton came within 20 minutes, the fifth-fastest any player has scored four goals in a Premier League game.
  • With 10 Premier League goals from the penalty spot, Palmer edges closer to Mohammed Salah’s Premier League record of 15 penalty goals.
