Tinubu referred to Ghana as a “Black star rising high in the African sky”  noting that its rays symbolized shared hope, unity, and devotion to the continent’s welfare.

He invoked the legacy of Ghana’s first president, Osagyefo Kwame Nkrumah, as a source of inspiration for the nation and the continent.

Turning his focus to President Mahama, Tinubu described him as a leader of vision and substance, deeply committed to the well-being of his nation and its people. He pledged Nigeria’s unwavering support for Ghana under Mahama’s leadership.

“President John Mahama and I share a deep friendship. My dear brother, I am here to work with you. You can count on Nigeria’s support and goodwill whenever needed,” Tinubu said.

The Nigerian president also expressed optimism about the potential for stronger collaboration between the two nations, particularly in addressing pressing regional challenges such as poverty, youth unemployment, instability, and insurgency.

“I am confident that your administration will bring about positive change and progress, not only for Ghana but for the entire region,” Tinubu added. “Together, we can pursue subregional integration and prosperity for our people.”
