The Ondo All Progressives Congress (APC) Governorship Campaign Council (GCC) has named Banji Okunomo as its official spokesman in preparation for the upcoming gubernatorial election scheduled for November 16.
This was announced in a statement by Kenneth Odusola-Stevenson, Chairman of the Strategic and Development Communication Committee of the APC GCC, on Friday.
Okunomo, a lawyer and former State Publicity Secretary of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) hails from Ilaje, the local government area of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, who is also the APC’s candidate for the election.
According to the GCC, Okunomo’s extensive background in strategic communication, politics, and law will significantly strengthen the campaign’s outreach and messaging.
Additionally, GCC said his appointment is expected to galvanize party members and resonate with the people of the state as they strive for a decisive victory in the forthcoming election.
