Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to implementing transformative policies, programmes, and projects aimed at accelerating the state’s development and enhancing the well-being of its citizens in 2025.

Speaking at the 119th and 120th quarterly general meetings of the State Traditional Rulers Council today, the governor emphasised his resolve to drive inclusive economic growth and development, as outlined in the 2025 budget he presented to the House of Assembly yesterday.

Governor Fubara assured citizens of his dedication to fulfilling his campaign promises, vowing to leave no stone unturned in ensuring significant progress for Rivers State and its residents.

“As a government, we have proven that we can manage the available resources for maximum development impact. Everyone can see what we have delivered in the last 16 months, and we are proud and fulfilled with our achievements,” Fubara added.

He urged the traditional rulers and citizens to remain loyal and faithful to the government while continuing to support initiatives that promote the development of Rivers State, its people, and communities, making it a model for other states to emulate.

He further appealed to the traditional rulers to collaborate with the state government in fostering peace, security, and progress within their respective domains.

The governor stressed that traditional rulers have a crucial role in promoting government policies and programmes, upholding the rule of law, and mobilizing their people and resources to create a conducive environment for sustainable development.

“The good news is that you have a Governor and government in us who are able, ready, and willing to work with all of you to actualize our collective vision for a peaceful and secure State with the best socio-economic environment and opportunities for all.”
