The All Progressives Congress (APC), National Chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje, has declared that Rivers State would soon become an APC state.

Ganduje, who spoke at APC national headquarters in Abuja when welcoming the 2023 governorship candidate of Action Alliance (AA), Dr. Dawari Ibietela George, and others back to APC, also said the Rivers State chapter of the party would be rebuilt and repositioned.

Discussing the rebuilding and strengthening of the party as a platform to serve the people of the state and Nigeria in general, the leaders also agreed to make the party accommodate broad interests and dispense substantial justice.

Ganduje described George as a skilled politician who will be key in helping the APC take over Rivers State.

He said, “Rivers State wil be completely APC.” Ganduje said of his expectations from George.

While welcoming him back to the APC, Ganduje assured that a party structure will be set up in Rivers State to create a platform for him and other members returning to party to secure the state from the opposition.

“You are now equal members with other members of the party. We are bent on widening Democracy in the country,” Ganduje added.

Those in attendance at the event were members of the national working committee of the party, including Chief Victor Giadom, Vice Chairman South-South, Titsi Ganama, 2023 APC deputy governorship candidate, Adamawa State, and former colleagues of Dr. George in the House of Representatives, amongst whom were Bimbo Daramola, Bello Ibrahim, Nadu Karibo, Robinson Uwak, and the Action Alliance deputy governorship candidate in Rivers State, Tonnie Anierohwom, who was also received into the APC.

Also, several party leaders from Rivers State gathered to welcome Dr. George back to the APC.
