The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) announced the distribution of relief materials donated by Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, to flood victims in Borno State on Wednesday.

This was disclosed in a post shared on the force’s social media platform, stating that it demonstrated the agency’s commitment to providing aid to civil authorities.

“This mission underscores the NAF’s dedication to providing timely humanitarian assistance, particularly in regions severely impacted by natural disasters,” the statement read.

The statement also noted that senior NAF officers, led by the Air Component Commander of Operation HADIN KAI, received the package before handing it over to the state government.

In alignment with the Renewed Hope Initiative of President Bola Tinubu, the force airlifted the materials from Abuja to Maiduguri using the NAF’s C-130 Hercules aircraft.

According to the statement, the critical resources distributed included:

  • Food Items: Essential supplies to sustain affected communities.
  • Clothing: Much-needed attire for victims.
  • Sanitary Essentials: Items critical for maintaining hygiene and dignity.
  • Toys for Children: A gesture of hope and comfort.

As part of their commitment, the NAF also initiated a medical outreach for over 2,000 flood victims.
