Bishop David Oyedepo, Founder of Living Faith Church Worldwide, has condemned the continued rise in killings, kidnappings, and attacks across Nigeria, urging the nation to seek urgent intervention as insecurity worsens.

During the 4th Pre-Shiloh Encounter Service on Sunday, 23 November, at Faith Tabernacle, the bishop voiced serious concern over the ongoing attacks on churches and communities, describing the situation as unacceptable and a deliberate assault on defenceless citizens.

While addressing thousands of worshippers, Oyedepo declared that the Church in Nigeria remained unshakeable despite increasing threats. He stated that those sponsoring violence and terror in the country would not escape judgment.

He said many families and communities were being traumatised, citing recent attacks that claimed lives and saw dozens abducted for ransom. According to him, kidnapping has grown into a lucrative enterprise for criminals who now demand huge sums from poor villages struggling to survive.

Oyedepo announced a seven-day nationwide prayer session to begin at midnight, calling on Christians to engage in intensive intercession for divine intervention. He noted that such collective prayers would provoke spiritual responses capable of destabilising the activities of those behind the unrest.

The cleric also directed members to anoint their homes and workplaces as a spiritual measure of protection, urging believers to take responsibility for securing their families and neighbourhoods while continuing in prayer.

Oyedepo maintained that Nigeria would overcome its current insecurity challenges and affirmed that the Church would remain resilient in the face of mounting threats
