President Bola Tinubu will on Wednesday depart Abuja for a three-day state visit to France at the invitation of President Emmanuel Macron.
Bayo Onanuga, his spokesperson in a statement said the visit aims to strengthen political, economic, and cultural ties between the two nations while fostering partnerships in key areas such as agriculture, security, education, health, youth engagement, employment, innovation, and energy transition.
Onanuga said upon arrival on Thursday, the President and his wife, Oluremi will be received at Les Invalides, the historic French military museum, and the Palais de l’Élysée by President Macron and First Lady Brigitte Macron.

He further stated that the welcoming ceremonies will precede bilateral meetings focusing on mutual interests and shared objectives.
According to Onanuga, during the visit, both leaders will explore ways to enhance youth-focused exchange programs that emphasize skill development in automation, entrepreneurship, innovation, and leadership.
He added that they will also engage in discussions on finance, solid minerals, trade, investments, and communication to foster deeper political and diplomatic collaboration.

“A highlight of the trip will be a session of the France-Nigeria Business Council, designed to bolster private sector participation in economic development.
“First Lady Brigitte Macron and Senator Oluremi Tinubu are also expected to hold discussions on advancing initiatives for women, children, and vulnerable groups through the Renewed Hope Initiative.
“The visit will culminate in a state dinner hosted by President Macron in honour of President Tinubu and his delegation before their departure. Top Nigerian government officials will accompany the President on this important diplomatic mission”, said Onanuga.
