President Bola Tinubu has signed into law the bill establishing the Federal University of Environmental Technology, Ogoni, in Rivers State.
Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Public Communications and Media, Daniel Bwala, announced this in a statement on his X page on Monday.
He stated that President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope administration is committed to correcting past injustices and establishing institutions to prevent future segregated developments.
Bwala said: “I am pleased to inform Nigerians that MrPresident Bola Tinubu has assented to the bill establishing the Federal University of Environmental Technology, Ogoni, in Rivers State.

“You will all recall that recently, in a similar fashion, Mr. President graciously approved the establishment of another federal university to be sited in the Southern Kaduna district of Kaduna State. Congratulations to the good people of Ogoniland. The president is fulfilling the mandate.”
He further reiterated that the Tinubu-led administration excludes any minority ethnic groups in Nigeria.
Bwala also mentioned that the President believes in the opening stanza of the national anthem, which states that though tribe and tongue may differ, we stand in brotherhood.
