Taraba partners with CCECC to boost development

The Taraba State government has partnered with China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC) to bolster developmental initiatives across the state.

Governor Agbu Kefas signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the president of CCECC in a meeting held on Friday in the conference room of TY Danjuma House, Asokoro, Abuja.

Speaking during the meeting, Governor Kefas expressed belief, noting government potential to achieve this initiative based on energy development, infrastructural development, and economic and food security, among other agendas.

Explaining the long-lasting impact that will stand the taste of time in the state, Governor Kefas highlighted the significance of its natural resources.

Additionally, he said with the support of the stakeholders, the goals and objectives of the forum will be achieved.

Emphasizing the commitment of the state government, he said the ongoing rehabilitation and reconstruction of the Danbaba Suntai Airport in Jalingo is a developmental testimony for better opportunities ahead.

He said with this initiative, Taraba State will become a hub for energy distribution, disclosing that a new hydropower project constructed with CCECC will be launched for effective delivery within the state and nationwide.

Furthermore, he said the collaboration will birth networking, improve the transportation system, manage its natural resources, and boost the state economy.

The Chief Executive Director of the Company, Mr. Zhou Dongping, on behalf of the president of CCECC, pledges their partnership with the state government to bring development as he declares the company’s readiness to drive change.

Oniegbu explained that the Taraba State master plan is cut across the senatorial zone and entire Local Government Areas (LGAs), noting their achievement in the Abuja Phase Two Master Plan as he expressed optimism.
