Police storm kidnappers’ den, rescue three victims

The Nasarawa State Police Command says its operatives stormed stormed a kidnappers’ hideout in the state and rescued three victims.

In a statement by its Public Relations Officer, Rahman Nansel, the Command said the rescued victims were Abdulsalam Shuaibu, Sani Shaibu, and Blessing Okorie.

Nansel said police operatives from the Gitata Division in Karu Local Government Area swung into action after getting the information that a Volkswagen Sharon vehicle with three occupants was attacked along the Kaduna-Keffi highway.

He said, “Upon receipt of the information, the Divisional Police Officer, SP Zaks Wambai, swiftly mobilized his team to the scene and combed the vicinity.

“Consequently, the kidnapper’s hideout was burst, and they were dislodged, paving the way for the rescue of the victims unhurt” he said.
